Deepening with the medicine

I run a cacao facilitator training, and I don’t.

It makes it harder for me to “market” it. But its more important that I stay true to the medicine and how to share it.

And true to my connection, my way because there are many ways.

If you are drawn to me there is probably a reason.

It may be to learn more about the Mayan connection. A culture still carrying this medicine and the major focus of the first part (“module” even) of my (non)-facilitator training.

It may be my energy. Infused as it is with cacao (for this I am deeply grateful) and therefore time & space in my space builds and awakens this for others.

It may be because I don’t tell you what to do. I provide you with information, with access to new worlds and with space to discover, to discover this medicine and what it has for you.

It may be for no reason at all except you feel drawn.

Do you trust this, do you follow it?
That is up to you.

The reason I’m calling this a non-facilitator training is because it isn’t just for those who want to facilitate with cacao. It’s for anyone deepening with it. Our own practice is of utmost importance and if cacao is or is becoming a part of your practice, ritual or life then either or both of the offerings I’m creating support in building upon and deepening that connection and what you can receive with it.

My (non)-facilitator training exists in two parts. If you like we can say Module 1 is; Cacao: Homage & Lineage. In this we learn the foundations of this plant. Where its grown, how it works, where it came from and importantly we honour this. This training invites Cecilia the founder of Ruk’u’x Ulew (where Love Bean Cacao is sourced) & Tata Walter Quiacain both from San Marcos, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala to share with you. We will also learn and discuss the cultural context and Mayan calendar because this medicine is a part of that cosmovision. It exists within a rich weave of medicine like fire and time, and whilst we work with cacao its important to respect where it comes from. This 3.5 week intensive will also include a Cacao Ceremony with myself and a Fire Ceremony with Walter.

“Module 2”, we shall say, is aptly named The Deepening. It feels like the word that keeps arising when I share about this body of work. Something I noticed in running my facilitator trainings previously or in how I built my connection to cacao is the importance of being in held space and community with this medicine. We will have this in Homage & Lineage also but in The Deepening it is the focus, it is 3 months together. 2 calls per month. A 1-1 with me and a reading with Walter (to learn about your Mayan energy) as well as a pre-recorded masterclass in space holding with cacao.

Much like a yoga teacher in the making will not simply do a training and voila they are a yoga teacher, what I now offer is the information, the learning and the knowledge coupled with the space & time to deepen.

There are plenty of options out there. Mine is one more, one that aims to uphold the integrity of this medicine. A container that honours the sacredness and the roots.

PS: We also have fun while we do all that!
