A little while back there were internet jokes about the cost of lettuce. The cost of fuel is way up. And businesses are still feeling the effects of the pandemic that changed the world, many having to close their doors for good…

My response to some oft asked questions about drinking cacao…

For 2 years you have been the tree. Constant, grounded, unshakeable (you’re a very strong tree). For 2 years being with you has been easy and ever so safe. Through grief I felt something in me however that was saying our time was no more.

What’s in a name? What’s in a cacao? What makes one cacao ceremonial and another not?

I run a cacao facilitator training, and I don’t.

It makes it harder for me to “market” it. But its more important that I stay true to the medicine and how to share it.

And true to my connection, my way because there are many ways.

If you are drawn to me there is probably a reason…

It’s actually so strange to write this blog.

Strange because it’s not so “cacao-related”, strange because I’m about to write about having covid-19 - the virus that has been ruling, dictating, altering and changing our lives for the last two years… aka I’m writing about something that is common to us all.

At the end of 2016 it dawned on me that I had an opportunity to learn more about this plant, this culture and this place. So I asked the universe to help me and in January 2017 the universe answered.

I was never going to take drugs. That was my bottom line. I’d go to psychologists, doctors, naturopaths, acupuncture, you name it – but I was certain a pill was not going to help me deal with the underlying cause of the chronic anxiety which had taken hold of my body for two years…
